On April 23, 2012 H.E. Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia Ihor V. Humennyi had the meeting with Mr. Belcacem Benzaza, the Head of World Food Programme-United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot - Subang.

The interlocutors discussed the issues of practical cooperation of Malaysia with the UN World Food Programme, which among its others has the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot – Subang, located in the Selangor state. In the context of determining opportunities to involve Ukraine into cooperation with the organization, the representative of the WFP expressed an opinion on the feasibility of using Ukrainian capabilities in providing services of air cargo.

In addition, they exchanged their views on the role of Malaysia as a regional center for ASEAN to respond to emergencies, overcome natural disasters, particularly in the framework of the timely provision of humanitarian assistance.

During the meeting, Mr. Benzaza conducted for Ambassador of Ukraine a tour over the new warehouse and office premises of the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot - Subang. As a result of the meeting it was agreed to maintain the working relationship.
