14 - 15 January, 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia paid a working visit to the Federal territory of Malaysia the Labuan Island.

During the visit the Ambassador Mr. Ihor .Humennyi held bilateral meetings with the Chairman of the Labuan Corporation, Deputy Director of the Department of the Labuan Financial Service Authority, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Labuan, Heads of Malay, Chinese, Islamic and Indian Chambers of Commerce, Chef Executive Officer of "Asian Supply Base Company", leadership and management of the Labuan seaport “Liberty”. He also visited the island’s shipyard "Labuan Shipyard & Engineering" and participated in the press-conference with Mr. Rozman Bin Datuk Hj. Isli, the Chairman of the Labuan Corporation.

In course of the meetings with the representatives of the business circle of the Federal territory and the only offshore zone in Malaysia, the perspectives for the development of the bilateral and regional cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia in the sphere of trade and economy, oil and gas as well as in the agricultural and financial sectors were discussed.
