The Ambassador of Ukraine Ihor Humennyi visited the “Universiti Sains Malaysia” in state Kelantan and delivered for the students the lecture in the context of the events, that the Embassy performs in order to commemorate 200-years Anniversary of the Birthday of Taras Shevchenko. The students were informed about the life of Great Kobzar.

The film “Gene of freedom” was demonstrated as well.

Having that opportunity, Ihor Humennyi commented the current political situation in Ukraine, making an emphasis on the measures that are undertaken at present to achieve further its stabilization.

The students were also informed about the conditions of life of the islamic section of population of our country, the possibilities to maintain and develop language and cultural traditions.

The Ambassador had also the meeting with professors and lecturers of the University, inter alia, with the Dean of the Faculty Prof. Ahmad Zakaria and Prof. Mohamed Saat Ismail, and discussed the possibilities and the measures to be undertaken in order to establish direct contacts between “Univeristi Sains Malaysia” and “National University of physical education and sport of Ukraine”.
