On April 9, 2014 the Ambassador I.Humennyi met the prominent Malaysian politician, the former Prime-minister of Malaysia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

During the meeting Tun Dr. Dr. Mahathir Mohamad was informed about the military aggression of Russian Federation against Ukraine, tension on the Ukrainian - Russian border, as well as about a difficult situation which faced the Crimean Tatars after the annexation of the Crimea by the Russian Federation.

During the meeting the Ambassador also passed to Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad a copy of the letter of the Head of Crimean Tatar Mejlis to the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
