On 10^th October 2016 H.E. Mr. Olexander Nechytaylo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Malaysia, paid a call on H.E. Tan Sri Othman Hashim, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the agenda of bilateral relations, particularly in the context of continuity of political dialogue in light of the impetus, achieved as a result of the official visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to Malaysia 3-5 August 2016.  They touched upon a visits exchange on various levels for 2017, as well as set aligned further steps to expand cooperation in economic, education and tourist spheres.

The Secretary General confirmed the commitment of Malaysia to cooperate closely within the framework of the Joint Investigation Team on MH17 to achieve justice and to punish  the perpetrators and their masters
