On August 27, 2012 H.E. Mr. Ihor V. Humennyi, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia had the meeting with the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water of Malaysia Ms Hajjah Nor’ Aini Abdul Wahab and the representatives of the international division of this Ministry.

H.E. Mr. Ihor V. Humennyi informed the Malaysian side about the current situation in the energy sector development in Ukraine as well as the capabilities of the Ukrainian enterprises in energy machine building in the context of the establishment of cooperation between the two countries. In this regard, certain projects, the implementation of which may involve the appropriate Ukrainian enterprises were discussed. The usage of the coal gasification technologies in Malaysia was also among the topics of the agenda.

Within the framework of the meeting, the presentation on Malaysia’s concept of implementation of green technologies, reducing the harmful environmental impact of energy facilities, increasing the share of renewable energy in the energy balance of the country was demonstrated to the Ambassador.

The parties agreed to maintain working contacts.

The same day, H.E. Mr. Ihor V. Humennyi, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia had the meeting with the Chief Procurement Officer of the Procurement Division of “Tenaga Nasional Berhad”, Mr. Ir Nor Azmi Bin Ramli and the General Manager for Procurement and Contract Management, Mr. Ahmad Zamri Bin Hamdan.

The Ambassador informed his interlocutors about the interest of several Ukrainian producers in cooperation with Malaysia in the context of establishing practical cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy machine building, procurement of the related power equipment for grids and power lines. The Malaysian side expressed its interest in certain aspects of cooperation and promised to submit concrete proposals for possible spheres of cooperation. The Embassy agreed to provide assistance in the process of acquaintance of "TNB" company with the potential of the Ukrainian producers of energy machine building.
