H.E. Mr. Ihor V. Humennyi, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia had the meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority of Malaysia Ms. Badriyah Haji Abdul Malek and the representatives of the divisions of this agency.

Ms. Badriya H.A.Malek informed about the functions and main areas of SEDA activity in particular expanding of the construction of small hydro power plants (up to 30MW), solar energy sector development, energy production from biomass and solid waste, as well as the development of geothermal energy.

In his turn, H.E. Mr. Ihor V. Humennyi informed the Malaysian side about capabilities of the Ukrainian enterprises in energy machine building in the context of the establishment of cooperation between the two countries. SEDA representatives expressed their interest in establishing the contacts with the Ukrainian energy equipment manufacturers and emphasized the importance of their participation in the International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES).

The parties agreed to maintain working contacts and facilitate the establishment of cooperation between the appropriate energy sectors of the two countries.
