The document was signed on 26 October 2021 during the Opening ceremony of the 9th Malaysian International Seminar on Antarctica, between the National Antarctic Scientific Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Sultan Mizan Antarctic Research Foundation.

The initiated cooperation will include straightening cooperation between the institutions in the field of scientific, technical and logistical activities in Antarctica, conducting joint studies at Ukrainian Antarctic "Academik Vernadsky" Station, sea expeditions, and research activities, academic exchange of leading scientists, equipment and scientific samples for joint projects.
