On February 27, 2013 H.E. Ihor Humennyi, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia hold the meeting with the Group CEO of the “National Aerospace & Defence Industries” corporation (NADI) – Dato’ Mohamad Elkany Ahmad, NADI’s Executive Director Defense & Business Development – General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohamad Shahrom Nordin (Retired), NADI’s Executive Director Aerospace Manufacturing & Business Development – Brig General Dato’ Abdul Rahim Bin Abdul Rahman (RMAF Retired), as well as NADI’s Executive Director Corporate & Finance – Mr. Mohamad Bin Sham. The meeting was also attended by CEO of “AIROD” company – Dato’ Kamil Aziz and CEO of “SME Aerospace” company - Mr. David F.J. Davies (both companies are in the structure of NADI).

During the meeting, Ambassador of Ukraine got acquainted with the structure and activities of the “NADI” corporation. In particular, the interlocutors discussed possible ways of enhancing cooperation between the Ukrainian aviation sector enterprises (SE “Antonov”) and the companies that make up the structure of the “NADI” corporation. The meeting included a sightseeing tour of the repair hangars of the “AIROD” company, during which a wide range of MRO of the aircraft industry was demonstrated.

As a result of the meeting working contacts were established between the counterparts. It was agreed to take steps in order to establish practical cooperation between SE “Antonov” and the structures of the “NADI” corporation.
