On October 2, 2011 the Ambassador of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Ihor Humennyi together with the staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Malaysia took part at the one-day International Food Fair and Charity Bazaar in Kuala Lumpur. The Embassy provided a table with the different dishes of the Ukrainian national cuisine. A mini photo exhibition about the historical and cultural places of Ukraine was also arranged during the bazaar.

The event, organized by the International Women’s Association of Kuala Lumpur (IWA-KL), attracted about 2,000 people who visited 25 food stalls and 18 booths set up by embassies and local companies.

The event was officially launched by Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Prime Minister of Malaysia. She also visited the stalls and booths, accompanied by IWA-KL president Shakilah Meraslam and guests.

Profits from the charity event will be donated to Rumah Anak Kesayanganku in Bukit Beruntung.
