On April 30, 2014 the Ambassador of Ukraine Ihor Humennyi met Dato' Seri Jamil Khir bin Baharom, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Islamic Affairs.

During the meeting the interlocutor was informed about the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, tension on the Ukrainian - Russian border, as well as about the difficult situation which the Crimean Tatars found themselves after the annexation of the Crimea peninsular by the Russian Federation.

During the meeting the Ambassador also conveyed to Dato' Seri Jamil Khir bin Baharom a copy of the letter of the Head of Crimean Tatars Mejlis to the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Embassy’s analytical document about violations of rights of Crimean Tatars in occupied Crimea.
