The Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia Ihor Humennyi met Dr. Ismail Bin Haji Bakar, the National Budget Director of the Ministry of Finance of Malaysia.

During the meeting the Ukrainian side was informed about the organization of budget process and the system of state financial oversight of public funds in Malaysia. The interlocutors discussed the features of the financial monitoring and the prevention of money laundering at different governmental levels in Malaysia and Ukraine.

The current political situation in Ukraine in the eve of presidential elections on May 25, 2014 has been also discussed. Besides, during the meeting the parties looked at the perspectives for the development of contacts in view of the exchange of information and expert assistance on the mentioned issues.
