On May 3, 2011 H.E. Ihor Humennyi, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia hold a meeting with Dato’ Wee Yiaw Hin, Executive Vice President of  «Petronas»  in order to discussed the issues regarding the development of the cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia.

The meetings have been devoted to the consideration of the Ukrainian proposals on the involvement of  «Petronas»  to the development of oil resources in the deep waters of the Ukrainian Black Sea shelf area. In this regard, the interlocutors have exchanged the views regarding the perspective joint projects between  «Petronas»  and the appropriate Ukrainian companies.

It was agreed to continue the contacts with the view to strengthen the economic cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia in oil and gas sector.
