On March 16, 2011 H.E. Ihor Humennyi, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia hold a meeting with Tan Sri Mustafa Mansur, the President of Federation of Malaysian Manufactures and discussed the issues of the trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia.

During the meeting the President was acquainted with the latest achievements of the economy of Ukraine and its industrial potential, as well as the plans for extending the trade and economic cooperation between two countries. Special attention was paid to the perspectives of mutual cooperation in metallurgy, chemical, agricultural, oil and gas, engineering and transport industries. The interlocutors exchanged their opinions on the establishment of cooperation in shipbuilding and aircraft building.

The Ambassador of Ukraine and the President of FMM agreed to undertake further steps towards the extension of economic cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia in the trade and economy sector, as well as regarding the establishment of the collaboration between FMM and Ukrainian Unions of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
