On March 21, 2011 H.E. Ihor Humennyi, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia hold a meeting with Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Chairman of «Tenaga Nasional Berhad» and discussed the issues of cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia in the energetic sphere and possibility of supplying to Malaysia modern energy equipment.

The latest technologies and achievements of the Ukrainian energy complex and in particular manufacturing facilities of the JTC «Turboatom», JTC «ElectroTyazhMash» JTC «Sumy Frunze Machine-Building Sience and Production Assosiation», JTC «UkrPromEnergo», JTC «Motor Sich», JTC «ZaporozhTransformator», JTC «UkrBat», Kharkov storage battery Enterprise «Vladar» were introduced to the Malaysian specialists during the meeting.

List of export products of the abovementioned companies was also transferred to the Malaysian side. Che Khalib pointed out that TNB is ready to receive the delegation of the appropriate Ukrainian companies to present their production, since till now Malaysian partners do not have enough information about its specification, features and quality.

In the context of development of the Malaysian energy sector, parties discussed the possibility of supplying to Malaysia of Ukrainian equipment for the power plants.

The Ambassador of Ukraine and the Chairmen of «TNB» agreed to undertake further steps towards the extension of economic cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia in the energy sector. In particularly, the possibility of the establishment of the cooperation between JTC «ZTR” and «Malaysia Transformer Sdn. Bhd.» was discussed.
