On April, 15, 2010 H.E. Dr. Igor Lossovskyi, Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia hold a meeting with Hon. Tan Sri Bernard Giluk Dompok, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities of Malaysia, and discussed the matters of the development of mutual cooperation in agricultural sphere and possibility of mobilization of Malaysian investments to Ukraine.

During the meeting Malaysian Minister was acquainted with the latest achievements, main capabilities and perspective plans of Ukrainian agricultural complex. The participating at the development process in the mentioned sphere was proposed to Malaysian side.

The efforts of Malaysian Government to use “green technologies”, including biodiesel production were highlighted during the discussion. Ukrainian side made a proposal to establish cooperation in this field, in particularly, to use Ukrainian technologies for biodiesel production. The information concerning the wide range of Ukrainian products and enterprise services of appropriated profile was presented to the Malaysian Minister.

During the meeting mutual understanding was achieved concerning necessity of further steps towards the extension of economic cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia in the agricultural sector and investment projects of Ukraine.
