On October 6, 2010 H.E. Mr. Ihor V. Humennyi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Malaysia, met H.E. Mr. Mahinder Singh, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. During the meeting both sides discussed the present stage of  bilateral relations between Ukraine and Malaysia as well as perspectives of exchange of visits at the high and highest levels.

The Ambassador of Ukraine informed Mr. Mahinder Singh  on political situation in Ukraine, making a special emphasis on the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine of 1 October, 2010 that declare as unconstitutional the law # 2222 amending the Constitutions in 2004.  Among other questions, Mr. Ihor V.Humennyi underlined that the renewal of the Constitution as amended in 1996 does not envisage changes in the foreign policy of Ukraine aimed at Eurointegration and its commitment to the democratic values.

During the meeting the translation of the official Statement of the President of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Viktor Yanukovich on this issue has been handed to Malaysian Side.
