On April 27, 2012 H.E. Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia Ihor V. Humennyi had the meeting with Director (Europe and West Asia) of Foreign Investment Promotion Division of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Mr. Jeyasigan Nair.

The interlocutors discussed the issues of the current situation and problems in the cooperation between both countries in the field of investment. The representative of MIDA briefed the Ambassador about the structure, main features and functions of the agency as well as about the development strategy of the investment sector of the country. In particular, the additional information was given on the structure and working methods of the authorities of Malaysia, operating in this area.

The Ambassador in his turn suggested to Mr. Nair to assist the Embassy in organizing and conducting in the Office of MIDA the seminar on presentation of the investment opportunities in Ukraine and also to delegate the representatives of this Malaysian authority for participation in the business forum which is planned to be held in Kula Lumpur in 2012. The Malaysian side expressed its willingness to assist the Embassy in organizing the abovementioned seminar and also to participate in the business forum. At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed on the modalities of future cooperation.
