On the February 24, 2012 the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia H.E. Ihor V. Humennyi had the meeting with the Deputy Secretary General (Planning) for Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry of Malaysia Dato' Raihan Bin Sharif. The aim of the meeting was to discuss current issues in the process of strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia in the field of agriculture.

During the meeting the Malaysian official informed the Ambassador on the current situation, changes and trends in the agricultural sector of Malaysia. The interlocutors also talked over the promising cooperation areas for agriculture (cereals, dairy products, poultry breeding, production of egg products, fertilizers and seafood). In this context, the presence of associations and unions of agricultural manufacturing companies in Malaysia was figured out.

The set of business proposals and presentation materials of Ukrainian agricultural manufacturers was submitted to the Malaysian official in order to be disseminated among the respectful agro-business circles of Malaysia.
