On the 17th ofFebruary2012 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Malaysia H.E. Mr. Ihor V. Humennyi had a meeting with the President of the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) – Director-General of Health Malaysia Y.Bhg. Dato' Sri Dr. Hasan Bin Abdul Rahman.

The need to speed up the restoration of the recognition of the Crimean State Medical University by the MMC was discussed during the meeting.

In this connection, Y.Bhg. Dato' Sri Dr. Hasan Bin Abdul Rahman informed the Ukrainian side that the MMC forms the expert group of the representatives of the relevant governmental bodies, academicians and professionals, which is to pay the evaluation visit to the Crimean State Medical University in order to restore the recognition of the Ukrainian university by the MMC.

The Ambassador also attracted the attention of the President of the Malaysian Medical Council to the expansion of the contacts of the Malaysian medical higher educational establishments with the Ukrainian universities of the medical profile andexpressed the hope thatthe number of the Malaysian medical students studying in Ukraine will be increased.
