The third round of negotiations between the representatives of the Ministries of Finance of Ukraine and Malaysia regarding the draft Agreement for the avoidance of double taxation was held on October 17-19, 2012 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Y.Romaniuk - Deputy Head of Tax Customs policy and Accounting methodology Department of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. Other members of the negotiating team were L.Palamar and S.Suprun - representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Service of Ukraine respectively. The Chairman of the Malaysian negotiating group was Dato’ Siti Haliman Ismail - Head of Tax Analysis Division of the Ministry of Finance Malaysia.

In continuation of the progress gained during the previous stages of the negotiations, the parties successfully agreed on all the articles of the Draft of this Agreement. As a result, the initialing ceremony of the Agreement took place on October 19, 2012 which was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia Ihor V.Humennyi.
