November 26-30, 2012 the delegation of the representatives of the Ukrainian enterprises-manufacturers of the energy equipment visited Malaysia.

The Ukrainian delegation included representatives of the PJSC “Sumy Frunze NPO” – Mr.Andrii Smirnov, General Designer-Head of Special Design Bureau and Mr.Ihor Bulyhin, Head of Marketing Department, as well as Mr.Alan Kolesnik, Head of Marketing and Analysis Department, JSC “ZTR”.

November 27 the Ukrainian delegation visited the facilities of the “Malaysia Transformer Manufacturer” - the leading manufacturer of transformers in the country. The Malaysian side briefed the delegation on the capacity of the enterprise and has expressed an interest to import the Ukrainian technologies in the transformer-building industry.

November 28 a comprehensive presentation of PJSC “Sumy FrunzeNPO” and JSC “ZTR” was held for the representatives of the national power company of Malaysia “TNB”, during which possible areas of cooperation were identified. It was agreed to develop further business contacts.

As a result of the meeting with the investment management center of the Malaysian state of Perak (INVESTPERAK), as well as representatives of the energy companies of this region (“Perak Hydro Renewable Energy Corp.”, “Bringin Ringgit Sdn Bhd”), the parameters of the potential participation of the Ukrainian companies in the energy projects this state were determined.

In addition, on November 29 the presentation of the Ukrainian companies for the Malaysian national oil and gas company “Petronas” was held. As part of the event a special meeting with the Vice-President of “Petronas” Mr. M. Rashid Yusof who is in charge of procurement of the relevant equipment for the company was also held.

An important part of the visit was the negotiations in a special department of the company “Petronas” - Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID), during which they discussed specific areas of cooperation in the gas compressor equipment in the context of large-scale oil and gas processing project of “Petronas” in Pengerang, the Johor state, Malaysia.
