On March 15, 2012 H.E. Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia Ihor V. Humennyi had the meeting with the Undersecretary of the Multilateral Economic and Environment Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Mr Cheong Loon Lai and the specialists of the Multilateral Political Division.

The interlocutors discussed the issues of implementation of decisions of the UN Security Council emposing sanctions at the national level. In addition, the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia informed about the preparation for the participation of the country in the UN Conference on Sustainable Development ("Rio 20").

In the context of studying the experience of Malaysia on the issue of "economic diplomacy", the parties elaborated on the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country in the sphere of protection of national economic interests abroad. In particular, the information was provided about the structure and working methods of the Malaysian authorities, operating in this area.
