On June 9, 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia Dr. Igor Lossovskyi had a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia Tan Sri Datuk Seri Pandikar Amin Haji Mulia.

During the meeting the Speaker was informed in details on the level of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Malaysia. Among other matters it was marked that notwithstanding with considerable activity in economic, trade and military-technical spheres, an inter-parliamentary dialog between countries has episodic character.

The Ukrainian Side specially stressed on the existence of the Groups of Friendship at the Parliaments of both countries, but at the same time there has been no visit of the heads of Parliaments for all the 18 years of bilateral diplomatic relations.

In his turn Mr. P.Amine agreed on the need of intensifying of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations and assured that would work out the question of sending an invitation to the representatives of the Group of Friendship with Malaysia of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to visit Malaysia.

At the end of meeting Mr. P.Amine informed the Ukrainian Ambassador that he will send a personal invitation to the Chairmen of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dr. V.Lytvyn to visit Malaysia.
