On November, 15, 2010 H.E. Ihor Humennyi, Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia hold a meeting with Hon. Tan Sri Dr. Sulaiman Bin Mahbob, Chairman of Malaysian Investment Development Authority, and discussed the possibilities of extending the cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia at the investment sphere.

During the meeting Chairman was acquainted with the latest achievements, main capabilities of economic, investments potential of Ukraine and perspective plans for attraction of foreign investments to the Ukrainian economy. The possibilities of investment to the construction of hotels, tourist and resorts centers, apartment houses – the sphere, in which the Malaysian companies have the best experience, were also highlighted. The information concerning the investment projects in the regions of Ukraine (ARC, Kyivska, Odeska, Donetska, Lvivska, Cherkaska regions) was provided to Tan Sri Dr. Sulaiman Bin Mahbob.

The Ambassador of Ukraine and the Chairman of Malaysian Investment Development Authority agreed to undertake further steps towards the extension of economic cooperation between Ukraine and Malaysia in the above mentioned sectors of economy, in particular, the possibility of holding the seminar “The investment climate and investment possibilities of Ukraine”.
