Kuala Lumpur, 24 February 2026
Remarks delivered by H.E. Rafael Daerr (European Union), H.E. Gerhard Eisl (Austria), H.E. Silke Riecken-Daerr (Germany), H.E. Krzysztof Dobrowolski (Poland), H.E. Ajay Sharma (United Kingdom), and H.E. Noriyuki Shikata (Japan) conveyed a strong and united message of solidarity with Ukraine. The Embassy expresses its sincere appreciation for their unwavering support and principled voices.
H.E. Dr.
Hennadii Nadolenko, PhD, Ambassador of Ukraine to Malaysia, delivered a special address reaffirming Ukraine’s resilience, expressing deep gratitude to international partners for their steadfast support, and underscoring
#Ukraine’s unwavering commitment to freedom, sovereignty, and justice.
A central part of the event was the screening of the documentary film “Deported and Displaced by Russia: Ukraine’s Disabled Children,” highlighting the forced deportation of vulnerable Ukrainian children, including testimonies from the Oleshky Children’s Boarding School. Through the
Bring Kids Back UA initiative, Ukraine has achieved a significant milestone — successfully returning 2,000
#Ukrainianchildren to their families after their unlawful deportation by
#Russian forces. Ukraine calls upon
#Malaysia and all responsible nations to join and support this vital humanitarian effort.
The event also featured several exhibitions:
• Puzzle of Unity (European Union)
• Design in Wartime (joint Ukraine–Austria project)
• An exhibition on the Russian shadow fleet (Embassy of Germany)
• The Eyes of War (presented by the Embassy of Poland), a multi-documentary project showcasing Ukraine’s cultural strength, resilience, and the far-reaching consequences of Russian aggression.
The Embassy of Ukraine extends its deepest appreciation to all partners, colleagues, and friends for their continued solidarity with Ukraine.
